Valentine, Nebraska

June 17 - 20, 2010

What a beautiful wonderful cowboy town and beautiful country!!! Wow is all we can say. It was windy driving up here; however, the people all along the way have been so nice. "Go out of your way" nice.

We are staying at a privately owned park, Fishberry RV Park. It is a first rate park, and the host couple are absolutely lovely. At any rate, after our first day here we have decided we want to stay the weekend leaving on Monday. We went to a great Cowboy store, Young's Westernwear. Ken bought the two of us real Cowboy hats, Larry Mahan's hats. We are all hat and no cattle (LOL)!!

We have spent our time exploring a State Park, Fort Niobrara. We have seen plenty of buffalo, prairie dogs (which the local ranchers hated), and an eyeful of beautiful countryside. We attended church at the Lutheran Church on Sunday morning and are leaving today. The Valentine, Nebraska area is a gift for all just waiting to be unwrapped, and Ken and I are grateful for the gift!
